Everything here is for educational and informational purposes only. It isn't financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it isn't a recommendation to buy or sell anything. I'm not a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a registered financial advisor. Your situation is your own - talk to a licensed professional before making real financial decisions.

Accuracy

• I work to keep the content accurate and cite sources where I can, but figures change. Tax brackets, limits, interest rates, and statistics may be out of date by the time you read them.
• The calculators are simplified estimates. Each one notes what it leaves out. Real loan terms, taxes, and returns will differ.
• Home values come from the U.S. Census Bureau, are estimates that can trail the market, and shouldn't be the only basis for a decision.
• Company Lookup shows what companies and their insiders reported to the SEC, read automatically from their filings. Filings can contain errors or be restated later, the automated reading can miss or mislabel a line, and nothing there is a recommendation to buy or sell a stock. Check the original filing (each page links to it) before relying on a number.

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. It may be unavailable, slow, or contain mistakes. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage from using the site or relying on anything on it.

Fair use of the site

Please don't overload the site, scrape or automate the lookup tools, or try to get around its security. The stock and home price lookups run on limited free data plans that everyone shares.

Content and data

The site's writing, design, and code are mine unless noted otherwise. Quotes are attributed to their authors. Home value data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau and company data from the SEC's EDGAR system, both credited where they appear.

I link to outside sources for reference. I don't control those sites and am not responsible for their content or policies.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. I don't choose the individual ads, and an ad appearing here isn't an endorsement or a recommendation of any product, service, or investment. Do your own research before buying anything advertised. How ads use cookies is explained in the Privacy Policy.

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also the Privacy Policy.
